Christmas Kettle Campaign
Each year from mid-November through December 24, The Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign brings the community together to support individuals and families in need during the holiday season. Donations collected through the kettles help fund local programs and services that provide food, assistance, and support throughout the year. Volunteers play a vital role in the success of this campaign. Community members are invited to stand beside a Christmas kettle at various locations throughout the city, greeting shoppers and helping raise awareness for the cause. Volunteer shifts are two hours long, running between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM, making it easy for individuals, families, and groups to participate and give back to the community.

Food Drives
Throughout the year, our community comes together to support local families through a series of food drives. These events help collect essential food items that are distributed through our food bank to individuals and families facing food insecurity. Key annual food drives include the Ancaster Food Drive in March, the Winona Peach Festival Food Drive in August, and the Dundas Community Food Drive in September. These initiatives rely on the generosity of the community and the dedication of volunteers. Volunteers are always welcome and play an important role in helping collect, organize, and distribute donated food items. By participating in these events, community members can make a meaningful difference in supporting those in need.
